• Complete a simple registration form and we will send you an FA Log Book and an invite to an induction evening
• Start to log your volunteer hours and take advantage of the opportunities we offer you along the way.
What hours can I log?
• Any hours that are voluntary and football related -they can be in coaching, refereeing, organising events, helping run a team or league, helping with a club/school website or newsletter etc
• Any hours that count as training for new qualifications – referee course, coaching course, Junior Football Organiser Course, WCFA workshops and camps
• The Young Leaders will be encouraged to attend sessions and camps in which they will cover all aspects in football ranging from Disability football to Marketing, to coaching in the community and actually running a football team themselves.
How can the Young Leaders link with the Community Coach?
• The Young Leaders will be invited to support the Community Coach in coaching sessions and other areas of community work. The Young Leaders will be encouraged to get involved as and when they can and try and give what they have seen and learnt into action and do a bit of coaching themselves. In previous experiences the Community Coach has set up small groups and the young leaders have working simultaneously to what the Community Coach is doing and adapt it to what the group’s ability is.
• Young Leaders will be encouraged to get involved to implement the coaching skills they have learnt. In the past the Community Coach has set up small groups enabling Young Leaders to work to develop the group.
