Funding

Funding is available for all kinds of football-related projects, and the biggest supplier is the Football Foundation.

Build the Game Scheme

This scheme provides funding to refurbish or construct changing rooms, development of grass and artificial pitches and clubhouses for community benefit across the country.

Grants are available up to a ceiling of 90%, however, every application will be judged on its own merits and the average grant given is 50% of the project cost up to the maximum of £20,000.

For more information please visit the Football Foundation website http://www.footballfoundation.org.uk/ or contact Adam Panter on 01539 730946.

Grow the Game Scheme

This scheme provides up to £2,500 for a club, league or organisation that wishes to grow one additional team or up to £5,000 over a 2-3 year period for schemes growing 2 or more teams. This scheme differs to the Build the Game scheme as there is no need for matched funding from the club, league or organisation. For more information please visit the Football Foundation website http://www.footballfoundation.org.uk/ or contact Adam Panter on 01539 730946.

Junior Kit Scheme

The Junior Kit Scheme funds applications up to £400 in the form of a voucher. This is awarded to junior teams up to Under 18 level and adults with disabilities to be used for the purchase of football kit and/or equipment. The voucher can be exchanged with our nominated kit and equipment supplier, Nike. Clubs may apply for two vouchers every three years, as long as one application is for a girls' team and the other is for a boys' team. Schools may also apply but can only receive one grant every three years. For more information please visit the Football Foundation website http://www.footballfoundation.org.uk/ or contact Adam Panter on 01539 730946.

Goalpost Safety Scheme

This scheme provides funding up to £1,500 to provide replace goals which fail to meet the British Standards safety requirements. The scheme can also provide funding for new goals to ensure that all goals purchased for grassroots football meet the requirements. Goals available through the scheme include mini-soccer, junior 11v11, adult 11v11, Futsal and 5-a-side.

The maximum level of funding is 50% of the cost of a pair of goals.

For more information please visit the Football Foundation website http://www.footballfoundation.org.uk/ or contact Adam Panter on 01539 730946.

Children's Specialist Sports Glasses
The charity "Caudwell Children", may be able to assist children with a donation towards specialist sports glasses.

They are a national charity who help disabled children on a number of levels. They will accept applications from players who need the sports glasses to be able to safely compete as long as the need for the equipment is supported by a medical professional and a coach/manager, then they would be applicable for a donation.

They cannot guarantee that the application will be successful as a number of factors are taken into consideration.
