The Cumberland and Westmorland County FA’s Young Leadership Event is a great opportunity for you to develop your leadership skills and will offer you the chance to gain knowledge from experienced FA Staff to take back to your football communities.
The Cumberland FA and Westmorland County FA’s are hosting a FREE County Event on Monday 29 March 2010, 9:30am – 4pm (during the Easter holidays) at Frenchfields, Penrith.
The day will provide Coach Education (5 -11s), Administration, Sports Promotion and Refereeing workshops as well as information on last years National Camp. The workshops will be delivered by FA staff and tutors.
Following the Cumberland and Westmorland FA Young Leadership Event, the County FA will select 4 young leaders to attend the free 4 day FA National Young Leadership Camp in July 2010. The FA’s National Leadership Camp is made up of 100 young leaders from across the country as well as giving 4 young leaders the opportunity to be part of the FA International Placement Programme.
Criteria for the Cumberland & Westmorland County FA Young Leadership Event 2010:
All applicants applying to attend the Event will be required to meet the following criteria;
- Aged 14 – 17 years old
- Active within the school or football community e.g. club
- Signed up to the Step into Sport programme prior to the camp
Deadline for applications is Monday 22 March 2010
All attendees will receive a Certificate of Attendance and a small goody bag.
