The hosts were only playing their second fixture together but worked tirelessly throughout in what was an entertaining game.
Lucy Stevens had the first strike of the game and was denied by a great low save by the outstanding Barrow goalkeeper. Barrow scored two quick goals in response through their talented winger and the same player grabbed a couple more before the half time break.
The Westmorland girls came out in the second half and produced a brilliant display of attacking football whilst keeping their opponents out. Amelia Mitchinson finished well to grab a goal for Westmorland after a good counter attacking move. Lucy Stevens was denied numerous times by the Barrow goalkeeper in the second half.
This was a game of two halves and the second half performance was very pleasing. Player of the match was awarded to defender Mika Armistead who was fearless throughout and put in numerous tackles and blocks.
