Football Futures 2017/18

Westmorland County FA are pleased to launch the 2017/18 Football Futures Programme

The Westmorland County FA Football Futures Programme provides opportunities for young people, aged 12-18, to ‘get involved’. Primarily, the Programme encourages experiential learning, regarding many aspects of the game. These experiences can be from a range of environments, such as an education establishment, Charter Standard club or league or directly through your County FA.

Young Leaders can choose to volunteer within a number of environments!

 The Football Futures Programme enables young people to gain valuable experience and develop skills that can be applied to all walks of life. Leaders in the programme will be offered support to gain football related qualifications such as the FA Level 1 Coaching Award and Refereeing qualifications. Young Leaders can track their volunteer hours and get rewarded through the County FA at the following milestones:-

  • 25 Hours - Football Futures Certificate and entry into £50.00 sports store voucher prize draw
  • 50 Hours - Westmorland FA Football Futures t-shirt
  • 75 Hours – Westmorland FA Football Futures tracksuit
  • 100 Hours - Free Level 1 Coaching Course / Youth Module 1 Course County FA Recognition, FA and County FA nomination for Regional and National awards and events
