Under 25 League Week 3

Westmorland County FA Under 25 League Week 3 Endmoor get their first win whilst Ibis and Kendal United draw.

Endmoor got their first points on the board this year with a 3-0 victory over Lunesdale. Endmoor started fast as Jake Fitz-Park slid in at the back post to turn in a low cross. As the half went on Endmoor’s pressure told as Bailey Kenny slotted home well from the edge of the box. In to the second half and the game followed a similar pattern. In what was a fairly contested game Endmoor added another with a well taken header from James Halton from the centre of the box.

The second kick off saw two unbeaten teams meet in what became a tightly contested encounter. It was clear both teams were desperate to win and the game started at a high tempo with some strong tackles being made and numerous chances for both teams.

Ibis had the better of the first half and this told as Josh Ford scored a very well taken overhead kick from the centre of the box giving the Kendal United goalkeeper little chance to save it.

In the second half and Ibis edged the first ten minutes but it was clear Kendal United were growing into the game. With the score still 1-0 to Ibis a ball forward saw a good save on the edge of the box from the Ibis goalkeeper but James Bennett followed up smartly to curl the ball into the empty net.
