WOMENS WALKING FOOTBALL
We are looking at the possibility of starting walking football sessions for Women in Westmorland in early 2020!
ABOUT THE SESSIONS
All sessions would be run by Westmorland County FA and would be one hour long at a location in Kendal/Milnthorpe
Each session would be priced at only £2 per player!
BENEFITS OF WALKING FOOTBALL
Walking football is an excellent way of staying fit and healthy. Studies have shown it can be effective in the treatment of mild to moderate hypertension and that it can produce high aerobic activity with marked improvements in fat oxidation and aerobic power
There are also many psychological and mental health advantages to playing walking football – namely high levels of personal reward and satisfaction with reduced levels of stress and exertion while playing, despite working physically hard.
Walking football sessions also offer a great opportunity to meet likeminded people!
WHO CAN PLAY?
We are looking for any women aged 40+. It doesn't matter if you have never played football in your life! Your experience or ability doesn't matter - the sessions are designed for all
