James Pattison

 

CHIEF EXECUTIVE Officer

James Pattison

James is the CEO & Senior Safeguarding Lead at Westmorland County FA and joined the organisation in 2016. He was previously the Community Coach and Football Development Officer before progressing to the CEO Role in August 2022. James is responsible for the overall management of the County FA work programmes, staff and works closely with the Board of Directors. Away from work, James is a keen Liverpool supporter and is player/manager in the Westmorland Football League. He has a lifelong association with the grassroots game in Westmorland with previous playing and coaching roles at a number of grassroots clubs.

Sophie

 

Football Development Officer

Sophie Hughes

Sophie is the Football Development Officer for Westmorland County FA and covers Male, Female and Disability football as well as Clubs and Leagues and Facilities. Sophie is the Centre Manager for the Westmorland CFA Emerging Talent Centre which aims to identify and develop future potential players by providing local, accessible high-quality training environments. Sophie delivers sessions for FA programmes such as Wildcats, Comets, Squad and Just Play. Sophie supports Newcastle and enjoys running; Sophie is a registered guide runner.

Peter Leonard

 

Designated Safeguarding, Referee Development & EDI Officer

Peter Leonard

Pete, an avid football fan, currently serves as the Safeguarding, Referee Development, and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion officer at Westmorland FA. His love for the football extends beyond his administrative roles, as he is an active Level 4 referee and can be often found officiating on the North West Counties. When away from the field, Pete is often found supporting his team Doncaster Rovers.

Jim Bone

Football Operations Officer

Jim Bone

Jim has a wide ranging role at Westmorland County FA with his main responsibilities being discipline, league and County Cup administration, coach development, alongside delivering coaching sessions to schools and the Girls County ETC. A level 1 coach who is soon to complete his UEFA C, his energy for playing is now also channelled into coaching his son’s junior team and volunteering in the running of the club. Jim’s previous roles in education mean he is passionate about both the wider development of the player as a rounded individual and also the development of local coaches.
