Safeguarding Commitment

All Youth Coaches must have an "Accepted" FA/CRC by 28 February 2017

We are delighted to inform you that at the FA deadline of midnight on Sunday 15 January, every single youth team in Westmorland had a named manager who had a valid CRC, hence there are no clubs currently facing suspension.

We are now moving on to phase two of this safeguarding compliance operation.

We require all youth coaches and assistants to have an “Accepted” FA/CRC dated within the past three years.

The deadline for compliance with this request is MIDINGHT ON 28 FEBRUARY 2017.

Additionally all youth managers in FA Charter Standard must have a Level 1 in Football Coaching with valid CRC, Safeguarding Children and Emergency Aid qualifications and all youth coaches must have an in date CRC and Safeguarding Children qualification.

All Youth Club Secretaries have been provided with the necessary guidance to complete the CRC and details of the relevant courses.

The FA are arranging Safeguarding validation visits where County FA Staff will be speaking to managers/coaches and parents to ensure the records provided to The FA, reflect those who are actually working with youth teams.
