Instructors

Westmorland County FA are always looking for experienced officials who wish to assist in the recruitment and retention of referees, as well as their continued development to become FA Referee Instructors.

In order to become a Registered Instructor, you must complete a two day course where your knowledge of law, delivery and presentation skills are assessed and developed. Once the course is completed a further appraisal takes place on a basic course. Once candidates meet The FA criteria they become registered instructors and are able to deliver basic Referees courses.

Registered Instructors who wish to become fully licensed instructors can do so by attending a 7 day FA course where they are trained on presentation and delivery of in-service training. Once the course is complete, candidates are appraised in their County delivering a training session to existing match officials. Once they meet the criteria they become an FA Licensed Instructor.
