Courses | England Football Learning

FA Playmaker 

EE Playmaker by England Football is our free online entry-level football course perfect for anyone interested in taking a more active role in grassroots football. There are five modules in total and you don’t need any previous football experience or qualifications before signing up. In fact, all you need is an FA Number (FAN) and a laptop, tablet or mobile device. Then you’re good to go.

Introduction to Coaching 

Do you have a passion for wanting to develop players, help them understand more about the game and embrace a love for football? The Introduction to Coaching Football course is a great place to start. Whether you are currently coaching a team or looking to get into coaching, this course will help you create a safe, fun, and positive football environment. The course blends live weekly webinars, e-learning, community support and a range of resources to provide you with the skills to coach players of all ages.

Introduction to First Aid 

Introduction to First Aid in Football is an online course suitable for anyone looking to develop their knowledge and understanding of medical care for players of all ages.

Safeguarding Children Course  

We are pleased to offer our Safeguarding Children Course as an online training module to complete at a time that suits you. This course has replaced the Safeguarding Children Workshop. As part of our strategic goal to raise standards across the game, The FA is committed to safeguarding children in England. From ensuring best practice and recognising poor practice to understanding how to report concerns quickly and effectively, we believe that making football fun, enjoyable and safe is everyone’s responsibility.

Safeguarding for all

This course is for everyone. It provides a basic overview of how to safeguard children and examines what we mean by:

Best practice
Poor practice
Abuse

If you're under 18, it'll also explain how to safeguard yourself. 

Safeguarding Children Recertification 

Our online Safeguarding Children Recertification is available for free for anyone who has previously completed the Safeguarding Children Course, The FA Safeguarding Children Workshop or online Recertification, and your qualification is due to expire in the next six months, or it has already expired. 

Safeguarding Parents and Careers Course

The FA is committed to safeguarding children across the game in England. From ensuring best practice and recognising poor practice to understanding how to report concerns quickly and effectively, we believe that making football fun, enjoyable and safe is everyone's responsibility. Our Safeguarding Awareness for Parents & Carers' course is designed to help you to make an informed choice about the football setting you enrol your child in.

This season we have been visiting clubs and offering some advice when needed. We have been very impressed with the coaching, commitment and enthusiasm by coaches, club officials and players. The Kick it out academy have some fantastic recourses and FREE online course. There course offer some great advice around equality, diversity and inclusion. Each course is around 20/25 minutes and offers some key learning.
