On Saturday 14th April Westmorland County FA held the second U9 Trophy Event of the season at Queen Katherine School, Kendal. 

We welcomed 10 teams and over 75 players for a great morning of football.

In Group A the two top teams were Grange United and Kendal United Colts who both finished the group stage undefeated after winning all their games and drawing with each other. 
Kendal United progressed to the final with a superior goal difference.

In Group B Wattsfield Youth finished on top after finishing undefeated. They did however draw with Heathwaite. Heathwaite also picked up another draw along the way to leave the group with Wattsfield two points clear.

The final was full of entertainment and high quality football from both teams. Wattsfield opened the scoring before Kendal United scored from a looping effort from distance. Wattsfield hit the crossbar and post in the final moments
before the two teams shared the trophy after the 1-1 draw in the final.
