The Westmorland Girls travelled to Frenchfield, Penrith for an Under 15 friendly fixture against Penrith.

Both Teams played open football in the first half with chances failing at each end, the visitors probably being unlucky not to go into the interval with a narrow lead.

It was Penrith who opened the scoring on 40 minutes No 11 going one on one with Westmorland goalkeeper E McDonnell.  Almost immediately from the kick off Westmorland could have got back on terms when S Postlthwaite hit the cross bar with a tremendous shot.

As the visiting team tired, the home team increased their lead on 60 minutes when McDonnell saved from a 20 yard shot only for them to quickly follow up with a rebound.

Westmorland got a well deserved consultation goal on 65 minutes when N Huck ran onto a long ball and shot home.
