Under 15 Girls Cup Final

Appleby YFC v Lancaster Giants JFC

In the Under 15 Girls Cup, last year’s runners-up Appleby Girls faced an unknown quantity in Lancaster Giants.  After a close opening to the game Lancaster took the ascendency with two quickfire goals. Appleby remained upbeat and played their part in an end to end cup final, however it was Lancaster who extended their lead before half time with another two goals.

In the second half Appleby saw more of the ball and despite coming close couldn’t break down the well organised defence of Lancaster Giants. Lancaster grabbed two late goals to seal an emphatic 6-0 win and lift the Under 15 Girls Cup. Goals for Lancaster came from O. Greene x 2 , K. Green, L. Bain, M. Wearing and G. Gerrard
