Hanson’s Creative Catering Under 25 League
Wednesday saw the opening night of fixtures in this year’s popular Under 25 Summer League.
The first fixture of the night was between last year reigning champions Ibis against Endmoor. In what turned out to be a high scoring game Ibis took an early lead. Endmoor then drew level through a well-executed free kick before Ibis scored again just before half time to edge in front. Into the second half and Ibis took control in the early stages going 3-1 then 4-1 up. Shortly before the end Endmoor scored another free kick to make the final result 4-2 to Ibis.
Milnthorpe Corinthians took on a young Kendal County team in the second fixture of the evening. As expected this fixture was competitive from the off with both teams desire to win clearly evident. Despite the quality of football on display neither team managed to create enough clear cut chances to find the breakthrough resulting in a hard-fought point for both teams.
The final fixture of the night was between two new comers Arnside and Meathop Vale, just as the previous two fixtures the game began in a quick competitive manor. With both teams creating some early chances. Arnside made the break through midway through the first half taking a 1-0 lead into the break. Into the second half and the game continued in the same vain with Arnside scoring another to make sure of an opening day victory.
