For Kendal College, the opportunity to work with the County FA enables the local college to invest in the grassroots game and give the opportunity to help the new league succeed.   

The investment from Kendal College will support the league to be accessible to more teams and players across the county.  

Westmorland County FA Football Development Officer, James Pattison said: "We are delighted to be working alongside Kendal College Sport to launch the brand new Under 18 league for the forthcoming season. There has been a tremendous appetite from teams and players to carry on their youth football this season. We have 9 teams registered for the league which kick starts on Sunday 13 September. The league will keep more players in the game and hopefully see more players transition eventually into open age football.” 

James Saxon, Head of Sport at Kendal College added: “  The partnership will go beyond the league, and will allow the Westmorland County FA and Kendal College Sport to work together giving students opportunities in the workplace and training referees in the future.”
