Inspiring Women and Girls in Football
Westmorland County FA host their first "Inspiring Women and Girls in Football" session as part of International Women's Day
As part of International Women's day on Monday 8th March we held our first Inspiring Women and Girls in Football online session. We were joined by numerous inspirational figures from various areas of the Women and Girls game. Our panel included;
Gemma Donnelly - Blackburn Rovers Ladies 1st Team Manager
Natalie Aspinall - Football League Assistant Referee
Molly Hudson - Sports Journalist for The Times Newspaper
Emma Coolen - Former Footballer and Media Personality
Rianna Jarrett - Brighton & Hove Albion and Republic of Ireland International Footballer
We were pleased to welcome listeners who are involved in Women's and Girls football in Westmorland such as our Coaches, Talented Young Players, Officials and Volunteers. Our guests gave an insight into how they got into the game, their progressions and the challenges they have faced in their careers.
