Disabled footballers compete for the ball

Disability

Football for Everyone

OPPORTUNITIES FOR PLAYERS WITH A DISABILITY TO ACCESS FOOTBALL AT VARIOUS LEVELS HAS GROWN RAPIDLY OVER THE PAST FEW YEARS.

Westmorland County FA are committed to enabling all players to play our national sport and providing opportunities for people who want to become involved in the many different areas of football.

We are committed to enabling everybody to play our national game and reach their potential as a player, coach, referee or administrator.  This cannot be achieved without the continual support of our partners who are key to delivery at a local and county level. Through these working relationships, we can ensure good quality development of the disability football pathway and best use of financial resources to continue the growth in football for disabled people.

Locally there is currently provision for people living with sight loss, with sessions taking place over the summer at Levens Community Park, in partnership with Sight Advice. There is also a PAN disability group which is currently overseen by Kendal Utd JFC.
