Westmorland County FA Girls Player Development Programme


This season Westmorland County FA have the following age groups in the Girls Player Development Programme; U10s, U12s, U14s and U16s. 

Over 125 girls attended trials this season and we are delighted to have so many girls representing the County FA. The Girls Player Development Programme brings together the most talented players in Westmorland. To be eligible to play for the Girls Player Development Programme, players must either;

- Live or go to school in Westmorland
- Play for a team in the South Lakes Girls League run by Westmorland County FA 
- Born in Westmorland

Each age group has a lead coach who is a minimum an FA Level 2 qualified coach. All coaches also have an in-date FA DBS check, FA Safeguarding Qualification and FA Emergency Aid qualification and our programme also has UEFA B Licence coaches who lead the sessions

Training takes place weekly at Dallam School and fixtures are arranged throughout the season against other programmes/clubs.

This season we welcome girls from the following clubs into the programme; Blackpool, Crookland Casuals, Dalton, Grange United, Fleetwood Town, Heathwaite, Kendal Town, Kendal United, Lancaster Giants, Milnthorpe, Morecambe, Preston North End, Ulverston Rangers and Wattsfield.
