The FA Basic Referee Course

Want to become a referee? Westmorland County FA run regular referee training courses for anyone wanting to become a referee in the 11-a-side game both in youth and adult football.

FAQS

Apart from the initial training course to become a referee, which is 20 hours, it is up to you how many games and how often choose to referee - there is no minimum commitment.

To become a Referee you have to be 14 years old, but it is never to late to, if your playing days are coming to an end but you want to remain in the game Westmorland County FA are always looking for new Referees

The current cost are £65.00 for under 16's and £100.00 for over £16's this includes all course costs, resources and equipment but not uniform.  Additionally there is an annual registration cost of £20.00
