Liverpool County FA v Westmorland County FA at The Liverpool Soccer Centre
Westmorland County FA Under 18 team travelled to Liverpool for only their second game of the season.
The home side started very strong and opened the scoring in the 2nd minute when a cross from the right hung up in the wind and Kearns opened the scoring.
They increased their lead only a minute later when Jones scored from the penalty spot.
Westmorland keeper Seaton saved well on 29 minutes, but Jones added to Liverpool’s score line on 30 minutes with a header cross from the left.
Westmorland’s Brench saw his header saved just before half time.

The visitors got one back in the 52nd minute when Ashton headed home from a corner. Seaton made three outstanding saves in quick succession but unable to stop the rebound when Schorah shot home from close range.
Carroll from Liverpool was cautioned for a late tackle on 75 minutes. Liverpool made it five on 80 minutes when Schorah chipped the advancing keeper and increased their lead with a second penalty and the final goal came on 85 minutes from Donnelly.
Coaches Tosh Farrell and Chrix Huxter were disappointed with their team’s performance but look forward to the next game against Cheshire County FA.
